POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Management Professional’s primary responsibility is to manage various types of digital data throughout all or part of the data lifecycle, from receipt to disposal.  This position requires teamwork and communications skills in order to effectively execute data management activities across multiple domains and business units.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•    Collect, analyze, review, document and communicate business needs, recommendations, and requirements to ensure that Data Management projects are aligned with business needs
•    Provide data assurance in project and corporate databases according to data governance policies.
•    Describe, document and communicate data mappings across various data stores including data translations; diagram data flows across process, workflows, and systems.
•    Profile and measure data quality to ensure its fitness for business use according to data governance business rules; provide tools, processes, and methods to manage data quality; apply data correction rules to improve data quality
•    Coordinate with the OBO Administration Team to ensure correct contact and protocols are in use for operators/partners
•    Contact operator/partner for missing or incomplete data
•    Monitor tracking reports and notify OBO Administration Team of persistent issues to assist in resolution
•    Benchmarking and support for BU analytics on Operated By Others (OBO) well data
•    Maintain OBO tools, reports, and Data Quality rules
•    Manage existing OBO data automations and assist in creating new automations
•    Manual data entry for attributes not included in automation (i.e. reports, statuses, dates)
•    Save necessary reports to enterprise document storage, including daily drilling reports and production reports
•    Validate accruals monthly for accounting and the business unit use
•    Creation and maintenance of wells and well data across enterprise systems

    PREREQUISITES

•    Four years’ experience working in a data management function preferred
•    Upstream Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
•    Experience with SAP, Wellview, PowerBI, SQL, Spotfire and Snowflake.
•    Knowledge of data management and data governance best practices, with technical and subject matter knowledge in E&P data
•    Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to learn and utilize new technologies and standards
•    Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork and communications
•    Excellent analytical and technical skills
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills

BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY

The Lease Operator is responsible for surveillance and overall upkeep of oil and gas lease sites. Under general supervision, this position prepares, maintains, and submits daily reports and records of daily gas and/or liquid volume, well pressure and volume of chemicals used, etc. assuring wells are up and running. Develops and applies an understanding of lease issues.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE

Requires a minimum of 2 years industry related experience

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform operational checks of assigned wells, equipment and plant facilities
  • Conduct production tests and perform minor repairs
  • Identify producing well alarms and work with automation to adjust alarms as necessary
  • Monitor progress of minor subsurface well maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Foreman, Leads,  Optimization Operator concerning wells and lease activities
  • General lease site upkeep (fences, signs, weeds, trash)
  • Represent the company in delivery/receipt of materials and equipment
  • Maintain regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance in conjunction with and through close coordination with the Operations Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Environmental Health and Safety Department
  • Record run time, fuel usage and operating parameters into systems if SCADA is unavailable
  • Secure and maintain all Company equipment, including but not limited to computers, vehicles, and analysis or test equipment
  • Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected
  • Provide field wide contact with all personnel in the event of emergency or other significant occurrences
  • Maintain positive relationship with Local, state/province, and Federal representatives and surface owners
